Big Horn Angus

For this logo i was given complete creative control, from the colors to the imagery. One of the first questions i get is “why don’t you put horns on the cow?” One thing big horn angus told me was that angus cows do not have horns! The company was named after the big horn river. i decided then that i would use the color blue and make the icon a watermark. A lot of the beef companies in montana always use mountains so i wanted to ‘steer’ away from, pun intended. I wanted the logo to seem MONTANAN and dignified with out the cliche. This is what i came up and super proud for a company of this size to have faith in me.
